The Control Center has been a part of the iPhone for several versions of iOS, and its capabilities continue to increase and improve as those versions are updated.
While you have long been able to do things like turn on your flashlight, the Control Center can now be customized even further with a number of different options. Because of all of this versatility, you may eventually start to rely on the Control Center to access a number of tools. Our guide below will show you how to enable the Control Center on the lock screen so that it’s easier to use.
How to Access the Control Center from the Lock Screen on an iPhone 7
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 7 Plus in iOS 12.1.4. Note that by enabling the setting below you, and others with access to your iPhone, will be able to use the Control Center without unlocking the phone.
Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2: Scroll down and select the Touch ID & Passcode option.
Step 3: Enter your iPhone’s passcode.
Step 4: Scroll down and tap the button to the right of Control Center to allow access.
Now that the Control Center can be accessed from the lock screen, you may be ready to add some more options to it. You can do so by going to Settings > Control Center and changing the options on that menu.
