How to Enable the Predictive Text Feature on an iPhone
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 7 Plus in iOS 12.1.4. By enabling this setting you will be turning on the predictive text feature in any location that uses the iPhone’s default keyboard, including apps like Messages and Mail.
Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2: Choose the General option.
Step 3: Select the Keyboard option.
Step 4: Scroll down and tap the button to the right of Predictive to turn it on.
