How to Remove the Red Circle from the Mail App on an iPhone 11

posted on July 15, 2022

The iPhone can give you notifications in a number of different ways. Some of these are useful, while you may find others unnecessary or annoying. Therefore you might wish to remove the red circle from the Mail app on your iPhone 11.

If you’re reading this article then it’s probably because you are currently seeing a red circle with a white number on your Mail app.

This is called a Badge App Icon, and it indicates the number of unread emails that you have in your inbox.

If you actively manage your inbox and try to make sure that you don’t have any unread messages then this can be helpful. But if you don’t read all of your emails, or if you have a bunch of old emails that you haven’t read, then that number might be fairly useless.

Fortunately you are able to remove the badge app icon from the Mail app by changing a setting on the Notifications menu.
