How to Change Alarm Sound on iPhone 11

posted on April 30, 2021

The alarm clock on the iPhone 11 is so convenient and easy to use that it could replace a standard alarm clock that you have in your room. Not only is it effective, but you can take it with you wherever you go, and you can set a high number of alarms. But if you don’t like the tone that plays, or find that it isn’t useful at waking you up, then you may be wondering how to change the alarm sound on your iPhone 11.

If you’ve ever changed the ringtone on your iPhone, then you are probably somewhat familiar with the device’s interface for choosing new sounds. But making changes to an existing alarm can be a little confusing the first time you do it. You also may not even notice all of the alarm options that are available when you create an alarm, and it’s easy to miss the alarm sound option.

Fortunately changing an iPhone’s alarm sound is easy to accomplish. Plus, unlike your phone’s ringtone, you can also use songs as alarm sounds.

There isn’t a best alarm sound on iPhone because everyone likes to wake up the same way, but I’ve been enjoying using songs for my alarms.

If you have some songs in Apple Music you can download them to your device and use them for your alarms.

Note that this setting only affects the alarm that you edited. Other alarms will still use the sounds that are currently set.

Some people have issues with the Apple alarm volume on iPhone 11 if they find it to be too quiet or too loud.

You can lower volume on iPhone alarm by going to Settings > Sounds & Haptics and dragging the slider under Ringer and Alerts, or you can turn on the Change with Buttons option and use the volume buttons on the side of the device to adjust the volume as well.

The songs that are saved to your iPhone will be available as alarm sounds near the top of the menu. They are listed in a separate section above the regular tones.
